Join us in the search for elusive bats inhabiting the woodlands!
We invite you to listen and look out for bats during a guided walk through Wellesley Woodlands.
We will bring some bat detectors to alter the audible frequency of bat calls so that we can hear them as we walk. The walk will occur just before dusk when bats are out foraging at their peak.
This event is for all ages – anyone who is interested in listening and looking out for wildlife in the beautiful setting of Wellesley Woodlands.
Please come dressed for the weather (it is a lot colder after sunset), and bring binoculars if you have them for enhanced viewing. We can provide some children’s binoculars.
This event will involve 2 groups of 5 with a walk leader to lead your walk and a bat detector will be provided for each group to hear the bats.
