Orienteering is a fantastic way to explore the outdoors for both children and adults . There are currently no permanent markers at Wellesley Woodlands but the downloadable maps below allow you to create a temporary course with your own markers.
The aim of orienteering is to find points in the landscape using only a map and a compass. It can be enjoyed either as a competitive sport or as a walk around the woods.
A course consists of a start point, a series of control sites that are marked by numbered circles on the map in the order they are to be visited and a finish.
No matter your age or how fit you are, you can take your time and walk, jog or run the course at your own pace.
