Wellesley Wildlife Canoe Safari

Safari led by qualified Runways End Outdoor Centre instructors and Brimstones (who deliver many of the guided nature walks at Wellesley). Booking fee includes all essential equipment including canoe, buoyancy aid and paddle, refreshments and tuition.

The trip begins from Runways End Outdoor Centre with a brief introduction from your canoe instructors, and they will share some canoeing top tips before we set off.

We’ll be paddling in shared open canoes along the tranquil stretch of canal running under Claycart Bridge towards Eelmoor Bridge.

Brimstones will help us spot what nature has to offer along this beautiful stretch of water from birds and plants to insect life.

What to bring: A packed lunch

What to wear: Comfortable, long sleeves tops and long legged clothing that you don’t mind getting wet. Trainers, not crocs or sandals. Suitable items for the weather conditions e.g. waterproof jacket or sunhat.

Location: The postcode, GU11 2RE, sometimes leads you to a road which can no longer access the site. You will need to ensure you are on the A325 travelling Northwards and you’ll see a white sign for Runway’s End Outdoor Centre. Turn left off the dual carriageway. • All under 18 year olds must be accompanied by a participating adult
• Once you have made your booking you will be sent a confidential medical questionnaire and consent form – please make sure you complete this for each member of your party and bring it with you on the day. You will not be able to participate without the form!
• Refunds will be offered in the unlikely event that we have to cancel for safety reasons, but we will go ahead in virtually all weather conditions.
